Retorio offers an in-depth artificial intelligence to analyze candidates from short video interviews. Unlike Retorio's video interview solution, Pymetrics combines neuroscience games and AI for pre-employment assessment.
 
Pymetrics was founded in 2011 in the US. It is based on a ~30 min game assessment and a following video interview. Pymetrics is eating into Hirevue’s market share by offering a more innovative, user friendly, and gamified solution. Pymetric claims to leverage behavioral science and AI technology to help companies build diverse, effective, innovative teams. The software relies on seemingly odd neuroscience games to measure traits, such as cognitive flexibility, or attention control. For instance, Pymetrics uses a game in candidates users pump up a digital balloon to measure their attitude towards risk.
 
Current top employees will first play the games to which candidates' results are later compared, which may be problematic from a diversity recruiting point of view
