On June 27, 2024, our Tech 'n' Talks community event took place in the bustling city of Cologne. It brought together L&D and sales enablement experts, HR managers, and commercial directors from leading enterprises across the DACH region, such as Deutsche Telekom, Bayer, and Porsche.
The event kicked-off with an exhilarating go-kart race, an exclusive activity designed specifically for the speakers. From start to finish, this unique experience created a lively vibe that was felt all throughout the event.
The journey into the L&D space officially set off in the afternoon.
Here’s what happened:
Keynote: The captivating keynote by Hanjoerg Beger, former Managing Director HR at Hapag Lloyd, offered profound insights into the revolution of AI and provoked meaningful thoughts about the future of L&D. It highlighted the need for organizations to embrace emerging technologies like AI to stay ahead of the competition.
Case study: A case study by Michael Höhner, VP Sales Enablement at Deutsche Telekom, revealed the blueprint for sales success. AI was addressed as a disruptive power that opened new frontiers for managers in sales enablement, providing valuable support powered by scientific findings in the sustainable transfer of future skills.
Panel discussion: Marcus Redemann, Managing Partner at Mercuri, and Steven Schenk, Specialist Sales Qualification at Nürnberger Versicherung, led our deep dive into the talent journey. They investigated both the opportunities and challenges in developing talents with AI, underscoring the importance of L&D and enablement leaders in driving high-performance organizations.
Founder talks: Dr. Patrick Oehler and Dr. Christoph Hohenberger, Co-CEOs and Co-founders of Retorio, unveiled how to fulfill the mission of elevating top brands with AI. The answer lies in context-based and targeted learning that increases transfer and application of knowledge. Moreover, "what fires together, wires together." AI coaching allows users to measure and scale the coaching scopes compared to traditional methods, leading to a sustainable approach to L&D and enablement.
The event concluded with a spectacular evening at the rooftop bar of the landmark Hotel Wasserturm Cologne. Engaging conversations, exquisite culinary delights, and cheerful live music contributed to an unforgettable experience.
It is true that this Tech 'n' Talks provided more than just a playground for business interactions; it also prepared attendees for the dynamic future of L&D in the age of AI.
